Immerse yourself in the beauty and sophistication of the French language with our tailored courses at MPLCS. Our expert tutors will guide you through the nuances of French, enhancing your comprehension and conversation skills while deepening your appreciation for French culture.

Beginners French

This course is for those with no prior knowledge of the language. It will lay the foundations of communicating in the language by learning the vocabulary and grammar to be able to greet others, ask questions, introduce yourself and others, ask for directions, go shopping, order food and drinks, book tickets at train/bus station and book accommodation.


You will be required to purchase a book/study materials. Details will be provided after your enrolment.

Upper Beginners French

This course aims to strengthen and broaden the student’s knowledge of grammatical structures and vocabulary learnt in the Beginners course. 


Students will feel that they are advancing, and gain confidence in the use of what they have previously learnt in class.

Intermediate French

This course is suitable for students who can already understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure. 


Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

Advanced French

This course is suitable for students who can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. 


Can express himself/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

Conversational French

This course is suitable for students who can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. 


Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

Kids French

Children find learning a new language an exciting experience. They will be fully-immersed in the language and culture through games, songs and stories. Parents have peace of mind knowing their children are safe and having fun while they are learning.


Children aged 3-5 years

Children will discover, enjoy and ‘live’ the language while listening, speaking and singing along.


Primary school students - Children aged 6-12 years

Children will discover, enjoy and ‘live’ the language while reading, writing, listening, speaking and singing along.

VCE Exam preparation

This intensive course aims to prepare students for their VCE language exam.


Lessons are available on demand. Where there are enough students to run a group class, it can proceed. Otherwise students can attend private tuition lessons. Regular fees apply.

Traveller's French

This course will give students a basic knowledge of the language with key vocabulary and phrases to allow the student to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in a foreign country.
